A 2024 county study considered outsourcing inmate housing and opening a booking center. A December 2025 Prison Board snapshot then reported Snyder inmates housed elsewhere, including Clinton County. This makes location checks important: “Snyder inmate” may identify the committing county rather than the physical jail. The county jail cannot certify the court outcome, and the PA DOC locator will not reliably include every county pretrial detainee.

PSP is the primary police provider in municipalities without a local force. Susquehanna University public safety and federal agencies may also appear in an event, while the criminal complaint identifies the filing police agency. Send the request to the office that made or holds the report, not automatically to the sheriff. Investigative, juvenile, victim, medical, and protected identity material can be redacted or withheld.
